What "affiliate link" means

An affiliate link is a special link that tracks if you make a purchase after clicking it. If you do, the seller pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone to the seller's site directly.

How we choose what we recommend

We follow three rules:

  1. We use it or we research it. If we haven't owned or used a product, we say so clearly and only recommend it after deep research (reviews, user feedback, expert input).
  2. Recommendation never depends on commission. We've turned down products with great commission rates because they weren't good. We've recommended free or cheap products plenty of times.
  3. We disclose at the start of every relevant article. When a post contains affiliate links, you'll see a clear note before the content begins.

How to spot an affiliate link

You'll see one or more of these indicators:

  • A note at the top of any post containing affiliate links.
  • The word "Affiliate link" near the link itself when relevant.
  • Buttons labeled "Buy on Amazon" / "Check price" pointing to affiliate destinations.

What we don't do

  • No sponsored content disguised as editorial. If a brand pays us to talk about something, you'll know.
  • No fake reviews. We don't write 5-star praise for products we wouldn't recommend to our own family.
  • No hidden affiliations. Every commercial relationship is disclosed.

Your rights as a reader

You're under no obligation to use our affiliate links. You can search and buy any recommended product directly without going through us. Either way, the content stays free.
